Esmond Forde
Esmond Irving Forde is a Trinidad and Tobago politician representing the People's National Movement (PNM). He has served as a Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives for Tunapuna since the 2015 general election. He is the current Deputy Speaker of the House. Early life Forde attended Tunapuna Anglican School, Hillview College and St. Augustine Secondary School. He received a certificate in mass media and communications and photography from the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Studies, as well as a certificate in marketing and public relations from the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He began work at the National Insurance Board in 1983, serving as public relations officer for education and publicity. The ''Trinidad and Tobago Guardian'' (together with the ''Sunday Guardian'') is the oldest daily newspaper in Trinidad and Tobago. The paper is considered the newspaper of record for Trinidad and Tobago. History Its first edition was published on Sunday 2 September 1917. The newspaper, now owned and published by Guardian Media Limited, began as a broadsheet but in November 2002 changed to tabloid format, known as the "G-sized Guardian". Caura River (Trinidad And Tobago)
The Tacarigua River (commonly known as the Caura River) is a river on the island of Trinidad. It originates in the Northern Range and drains into the Caura Valley. It passes through the town of Tacarigua in the East–West Corridor before joining the Caroni River. The Caura River is important both recreationally and culturally. Contamination Currently the Caura River is at risk to pollution from fertilizers and pesticides used by the farmers within the valley and solid waste from visitors who visit for leisure. It was once an Arawak settlement. It was also in a sea of controversy as it was a proposed site for the building of a dam in 1943. And though it was started, it was never completed to this day, and equipment for the construction of this proposed dam still lies there to date. Tunapuna is a town in the East–West Corridor of the island of Trinidad, in Trinidad and Tobago. Town Tunapuna is located between St. Augustine, Tacarigua and Trincity. Tunapuna is the largest town between San Juan and Arima. It is an important market and commercial centre, and is the seat of the Tunapuna–Piarco Regional Corporation. Tacarigua (originally San Pablo de Tacarigua) is a town in the East–West Corridor of Trinidad and Tobago, located east of Tunapuna, north of Trincity and west of Arouca. David Nakhid (born 15 May 1964) is a Trinidad and Tobago politician and former professional footballer who serves as a Senator for the United National Congress. The Congress of the People (COP) is a political party in Trinidad and Tobago. Its current political leader is Kirt Sinnette. Its symbol is the "Circle of Circles". History The party was formed on 10 September 2006 by Winston Dookeran, then the embattled Political Leader of the United National Congress announced at a rally that he was leaving the UNC and forming a new party.
