Eric Edgley
Edgley International is a theatre and concert promotions company from Australia, first started in the 1930s and run by several generations. It has also been known as Edgley & Dawe Attractions, Edgley Ventures, and Michael Edgley International. The company is noted for bringing to Australia many foreign acts not previously seen in the country, particularly dance companies and circuses from Russia. Origins English song and dance vaudeville brothers Eric Edgley and Clement Edward were invited to Australia in 1920 by J&N Tait to appear in a production of ''Sinbad the Sailor'' at King's Theatre, Melbourne. Ben Fuller (producer)
Sir Benjamin John Fuller (20 March 1875 – 10 March 1952) was an English-born Australian theatrical entrepreneur, best known for establishing the theatre company that bears his name. Biography Benjamin John Fuller was born on 20 March 1875 in Shoreditch, London to compositor John Fuller (senior) and Harriett, ''née'' Jones. From December 1884 to February 1885 young Ben appeared in a juvenile production of ''The Pirates of Penzance'' at the Savoy Theatre; two years later he was a member of Montague Robey's Midget Minstrels and later joined Warwick Gray's Juvenile Opera Company. Ben's father, John Fuller Snr., a tenor, gave up his day job as a compositor when he was invited to join the songwriter Harry Hunter's Mohawk Minstrels in October 1881. ''Phar Lap'' (also released as ''Phar Lap: Heart of a Nation'') is a 1983 Australian biographical drama film about the racehorse Phar Lap. The film stars Tom Burlinson and was written by David Williamson. Plot A chestnut Thoroughbred horse called Phar Lap, known as Bobby by his strapper Tommy Woodcock (Tom Burlinson), collapses and dies in Tommy's arms at Menlo Park in California in 1932. West Australian Ballet (WAB) is the state ballet company of Western Australia and is based at the Western Australian Ballet Centre in Maylands, an inner suburb of Perth. The Georgian National Ballet ( ka, ქართული ეროვნული ბალეტი, tr) is the first professional state dance company in Georgia (country), Georgia. Founded by husband and wife Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili in 1945, it was initially named as the Georgian State Dance Company.
