Engin Yılmaz
Engin Yılmaz (born 1977) is a Turkish politician who currently serves as the President of the Conservative Ascension Party (MYP) of Turkey. Born and educated in Kumru, Ordu Province, he studied economics at Anadolu University and graduated in 2003. He later worked at Turkcell and went on to work for an international company in 2009. As a founding member of the Nationalist and Conservative Party (MMP) in March 2010, he served as the party's general secretary until it was dissolved in 2013. He stood as an Ordu MMP candidate in the 2011 general election, but was unsuccessful. Following the formation of the MYP, he became the party's president. Conservative Ascension Party
New Turkey Party ( tr, Yeni Türkiye Partisi, abbreviated YTP) or formerly known as Conservative Ascension Party ( tr, Muhafazakâr Yükseliş Partisi), is a Turkish nationalist and Conservative political party formed on 24 January 2013, succeeding the Nationalist and Conservative Party. The Turkish people, or simply the Turks ( tr, Türkler), are the world's largest Turkic ethnic group; they speak various dialects of the Turkish language and form a majority in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. 2011 Turkish General Election
General elections were held in Turkey on 12 June 2011 to elect the 550 members of Grand National Assembly. In accordance to the result of the constitutional referendum held in 2007, the elections were held four years after the previous elections in 2007 instead of five. The result was a third consecutive victory for the incumbent Justice and Development Party (AKP), with its leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan being re-elected as Prime Minister for a third term with 49.8% of the vote and 327 MPs. This represented an increase of 3.2% since the 2007 general election and an 11.4% rise since the 2009 local elections. English Language
