''elton.tv'' was a German comedic late-night talk show hosted by Elton. It was originally shown once a week on ProSieben between 6 December 2001 and 27 March 2003. The show was produced by Stefan Raab's company ''Raab TV'' and, in its original run, shown Thursdays after ''TV total ''TV total'' is a German late-night television comedy talk show which originally aired from 8 March 1999 to 16 December 2015 on ProSieben, hosted, created and produced by entertainer Stefan Raab. Following a six-year hiatus, it was revived on 1 ...''. There were two seasons of the show, with about 50 episodes in total. Each episode of the show was about 30 minutes long and primarily featured Elton in studio talk with various German celebrity guests. Alexander Duszat (born 2 April 1971), known professionally as Elton, is a German television presenter and comedian who gained recognition as Stefan Raab's sidekick in the long-running late-night comedy show ''TV total''. Early life Elton was born on 2 April 1971 in West Berlin, but grew up and went to school in Jork near Hamburg. He finished his traineeship as a television and radio technician. Career Later, he hosted several shows for the local television channel Hamburg 1, where he first appeared under the nickname Elton, which was given to him due to a reportedly similar appearance to Elton John. In February 2001, he was hired by the popular German entertainer Stefan Raab as an intern and sidekick for his late-night comedy show ''TV total'' on ProSieben. ProSieben (, ''sieben'' is German for "seven"; often stylized as Pro7) is a German free-to-air television network owned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media. It was launched on 1 January 1989. It is Germany's second-largest privately owned television company. Although ProSieben produces some of its programming itself, it also airs many American imports. Stefan Konrad Raab (born 20 October 1966) is a German entertainer, television host, television producer, and businessman. From 1999 to 2015, he hosted the late-night talk show, late-night comedy talk show ''TV total'' on ProSieben. He also created a number of other television shows on the channel, such as ''Schlag den Raab'' and ''Bundesvision Song Contest''. Raab began his TV career hosting the comedy show ''Vivasion'' in 1993. He became well known in 1994 after composing a hit single spoofing national football coach Berti Vogts. In the early 2010s, Raab was considered the "most powerful man in German entertainment television".
