Elmar Pieroth
Elmar Pieroth (9 November 1934 – 31 August 2018) was a German politician (Christian Democratic Union of Germany, CDU). The businessman was a member of the Bundestag from 1969 until 1981. He was the senator for economic affairs in Berlin from 1981 until 1989 and from 1996 until 1998, as well as the Senator of Finance from 1991 until 1996. Early life Pieroth was born on 9 November 1934 in Bad Kreuznach. He passed the Abitur exam at Stefan-George-Gymnasium in Bingen am Rhein, Bingen in 1953. He studied political economics, business management and political science in Munich and Mainz, completing his degree as a graduate economist in 1968. Entrepreneur At the age of 19, Elmar Pieroth started his entrepreneurial career. The ''Berliner Zeitung'' (, ''Berlin Newspaper'') is a daily newspaper based in Berlin, Germany. Founded in East Germany in 1945, it is the only East German paper to achieve national prominence since reunification. It is published by Berliner Verlag. Ljubljana Town Hall ( sl, Ljubljanska mestna hiša, also known as or simply or ) is the town hall in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is the seat of the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It is located at Town Square in the city centre close to Ljubljana Cathedral. The original building was built in a Gothic style in 1484, probably according to plans by the Carniolan builder Peter Bezlaj. Between 1717 and 1719, the building underwent a Baroque renovation with a Venetian inspiration by the builder Gregor Maček, Sr., who built based on plans by the Italian architect Carlo Martinuzzi and on his own plans (the gable front, the loggia, and the three-part staircase). Diethylene glycol (DEG) is an organic compound with the formula (HOCH2CH2)2O. It is a colorless, practically odorless, and hygroscopic liquid with a sweetish taste. Tino Schwierzina
Tino Antoni Schwierzina (30 May 1927 – 29 December 2003) was a German lawyer who became a politician. Between May 1990 and January 1991 he served as the first and last freely elected mayor of East Berlin. His term of office was dominated by the fusion of the two halves of Berlin which had been politically (and increasingly also, till 1989, physically) divided since before 1949. By some criteria Tino Schwierzina was also the last mayor of East Berlin ahead of reunification. Life Early years Schwierzina was born in Chorzów in Upper Silesia. His father was a doctor. His grandmother had come from Italy which explained his unusual (in Germany) name. From 1933 he attended a school in Magdeburg. Eberhard Diepgen (born 13 November 1941) is a German lawyer and politician who served as Mayor of West Berlin from 1984 to 1989 and again as Mayor of (united) Berlin, from 1991 until 2001, as member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Early life, education, and career Eberhard Diepgen was born on 13 November 1941 in the Berlin district of Wedding. He was to become the first native of Berlin in the office of governing mayor. After graduating from high school in 1960, Diepgen began studying law at the Free University of Berlin.
