Jack Ellena
Jack Duane Ellena (October 27, 1931 – March 23, 2012) was an American football player. Ellena played offensive tackle for coach Red Sanders at UCLA from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the Bruins team that lost the 1954 Rose Bowl and was named that year's FWAA & UPI national champions. That same year, Ellena was named to the College Football All-America Team and won the UPI Lineman of the Year. In addition to playing football for the Bruins, Ellena wrestled heavyweight at UCLA. He was a two-time Pacific Coast Intercollegiate heavyweight champ (1953, 1954), and placed fourth at the 1953 NCAA wrestling championships at Penn State, earning All-American honors. Ellena was selected in the 19th round (228th overall) of the 1953 NFL draft by the Los Angeles Rams. He played guard and nose guard for the Rams from 1955 to 1956. Career As a director his films include '' The Last Trackers of the Outback'', which won the Public's Choice Award at the 2008 FIFO Pacific International Documentary Film Festival in Tahiti and ''The Long March of Bob Slaughter''. In 2000, his script ''Drugstore'' was one of 24 scripts selected from a regional French competition of 3,600 entries to be produced as a short film. His script was directed by Marion Vernoux and actress Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi played the lead role. The 24 films were then shown at the Cannes Film Festival as part of an anti-drug awareness raising campaign ''Drug Scenes'' (Original French title:''Scénarios sur la Drogue''). Jean-Claude Ellena (born 1947) is a French perfumer and writer. He served as the in-house perfumer at Hermes from 2004 to 2016, prior to the appointment of incumbent Christine Nagel. He has collaborated with other major brands such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Aqua di Parma, Bulgari, Sisley, Cartier, Frédéric Malle, The Different Company, or Le Couvent - Maison de Parfum. Career At an early age, Ellena picked jasmine with his grandmother in Grasse to sell to perfumers. Beginning with menial jobs, he became an apprentice at the factory of the essential oils maker Antoine Chiris in Grasse at the age 16 working on the night shift. He has reminisced, "Among other essential oils, we made a lot of oakmoss, and after I’d put the distiller on, I’d lie down on a bed of it and sleep". Richard Ellena
Victor Richard Ellena (born 15 January 1951 in Christchurch) is a New Zealand Anglican bishop. He was the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Nelson between 3 February 2007 and his retirement at the end of 2018. He was educated at the University of Canterbury after which he worked as a teacher until studying for the Priesthood. He was ordained an Anglican priest in 1985 and has held incumbencies at Kensington-Otipua, Blenheim and Marlborough, where he was also the area's Archdeacon.
