Elizabeth City Centre is a large regional shopping centre in the outer Adelaide suburb of Elizabeth, South Australia. The centre is the fourth biggest in Adelaide, behind Colonnades Shopping Centre, Westfield Tea Tree Plaza, and Westfield Marion. Elizabeth is an outer northern suburb of the Adelaide metropolitan area, South Australia, 24 km north of the Adelaide city centre. It is located in the City of Playford. At the 2021 census, Elizabeth had a population of 40,343. Established in 1955, it was the seat of the former local government body, the old City of Elizabeth, which included Elizabeth as well as the immediately adjacent suburbs on all sides except the west. Elizabeth railway station is located on the Gawler line. Situated on the border of the northern Adelaide suburbs of Elizabeth and Edinburgh, it is from Adelaide station. History The township of Elizabeth was established in 1955, with Elizabeth South railway station the first to be constructed in the area.
