Eli (2015 Film)
''Eli'' () is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language spy comedy written and directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan. The film stars Vadivelu and Sadha. Vidyasagar composed the film's music. ''Eli'', set in the 1960s, focuses on a small-time thief who is recruited by the police to infiltrate a gang in an effort to thwart an illegal cigarette smuggling scheme. The film was released on 19 June 2015 to mostly mixed to positive reviews and became a box office success. Plot In 1960s, Chennai (Madras then), a police officer and a social worker give speech about ban of cigarettes in All India Radio. Then three men gets out from a car. They were thieves and led by Elisamy alias Eli, a petty thief (who once aspired to become a police officer), who pretends to be a captured-thief who has sold all his robbery items to a jewellery shop owner. Yuvaraj Dhayalan
Yuvaraj Baiju Dhayalan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Tamil cinema. Career Dhayalan hails from Chengalpattu. He joined as an assistant director to director M. Raja for his Tamil ''Santosh Subramaniam''. He had also assisted Chimbu Deven in his film ''Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam''. Dhayalan made his directorial debut with the cricket comedy film ''Potta Potti'' (2012), starring Sadagoppan Ramesh. It received positive reviews. In 2014, he directed the historical comedy ''Tenaliraman (film), Tenaliraman'' starring Vadivelu. Krishnamoorthy (actor)
Krishnamoorthy (1963/1964 – 7 October 2019) was a comedian in the Tamil film industry in India. Career Krishnamoorthy moved from his home town Tiruvannamalai to Madras (now Chennai) in 1983, hoping to become an actor in films. Despite being initially unsuccessful, he joined the crew of the film '' Kuzhandhai Yesu'' (1984) as an office boy, and by the end of production, he was assigned the role of production manager. Muthukaalai is an Indian actor, comedian who predominantly works in Tamil cinema.
