Elegant Weapons
Elegant Weapons is a heavy metal supergroup composed of guitarist Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest, vocalist Ronnie Romero of Rainbow and the Michael Schenker Group, drummer Christopher Williams of Accept, and bassist Dave Rimmer of Uriah Heep. The band announced their formation on 25 October 2022, originally with bassist Rex Brown of Pantera and drummer Scott Travis of Judas Priest. ''Horns for a Halo'' The band's debut album, ''Horns for a Halo'', produced by Andy Sneap, was released on 26 May 2023 by Nuclear Blast. The debut single, "Blind Leading the Blind", came out on 24 February 2023. The second single, "Do or Die", was released on 14 April 2023. Rex Brown from Pantera played bass on the album, and Scott Travis of Judas Priest contributed drums. It was ranked as one of the best debut albums of 2023 by ''Classic Rock'' magazine. Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a Music genre, genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. Michael Schenker Group
The Michael Schenker Group (often abbreviated as MSG) is an English hard rock band, formed in London in 1979 by former Scorpions and UFO guitarist Michael Schenker. After the release of their second live album, 1984's '' Rock Will Never Die'', The band went on a two-year hiatus and Schenker disbanded the band in 1986. In 1986, Schenker and vocalist Robin McAuley formed the McAuley Schenker Group, which lasted until 1993. Afterwards, in 1996, the Michael Schenker Group was reformed. Andy Sneap (born 18 July 1969) is an English guitarist, record producer, and composer with over 100 albums to his name, most of which have been produced at his Backstage Recording studios in rural Derbyshire. Some of the most critically acclaimed mixing-work on albums include ''Deliverance'' by Opeth and ''Disarm the Descent'' by Killswitch Engage; for which he earned a Swedish Grammis and a US Grammy nomination, respectively. As a performer, he first built his reputation as one of the guitarists in the British thrash metal band Sabbat, and played with them up until their disbanding. Accept is a German heavy metal band from Solingen, formed in 1976 by lead guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, singer Udo Dirkschneider and bassist Peter Baltes. A supergroup is a musical group formed of members who are already successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups Collaborative_album, recorded albums together, after which they normally disbanded.
