Edward Coady
Edward "Eddie" Coady (born 1978) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for the Carlow senior team. Coady made his first appearance for the team during the 1999 National League and has become a regular member of the starting fifteen since then. During that time he has won two Christy Ring Cup medals, one National League (Division 2A) medal and three Kehoe Cup medals. At club level Coady is an All-Ireland and Leinster medalist at intermediate level with Mount Leinster Rangers. He has also won four county senior championship medals. Mount Leinster Rangers GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Borris, County Carlow, Borris, County Carlow, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club was founded in 1987 and fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling. All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Club Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the second highest inter-county club hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year since the 2004-05 championship. The final, currently held on the third Saturday in January, is the culmination of a series of games played between October and January with the winners receiving the cup. The All-Ireland Championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. Currently qualification is limited to teams competing in the Connacht Championship, the Leinster Championship, the Munster Championship and the Ulster Championship. The Westmeath County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae na hIarmhí) or Westmeath GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Westmeath. Darren McCormack (hurler)
Darren McCormack (born 29 July 1978) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Westmeath senior team. Born in Castlepollard, County Westmeath, McCormack first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Westmeath minor teams as a dual player before later joining the under-21 hurling side. He made his senior debut during the 1997 league. McCormack subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won three Christy Ring Cup medals. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, McCormack won one Railway Cup medal. At club level he is a four-time championship medallist with Castlepollard. McCormack announced his retirement from inter-county hurling on 24 May 2012. The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Leinster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion senior clubs in the province of Leinster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious club competition in Leinster hurling. Introduced in 1971, it was initially a straight knockout tournament open to all 12 county senior champions from the 1970 championship season.
