Eduardo Portillo
Eduardo Portillo (born April 3, 1999) is a Mexican racquetball player, who has represented Mexico at the Pan American Games and the International Racquetball Federation (IRF) World Championships, as well as competing on the International Racquetball Tour. He's the current Central American and Caribbean Games champion in Men's Singles and Mixed Doubles (with Paola Longoria, winning the titles in 2023. Junior years - 2014-2018 Portillo played for Mexico at the International Racquetball Federation (IRF) 2014 World Junior Championships in Cali, Colombia, where he Lost in semi-finals of Boys U14 to American Jordan Barth, 15–8, 10–15, 11–7. But he and Santiago Garcia won the Boys U14 Doubles title by defeating Costa Ricans Julian Hamburger and Andres Montero in the final, 15–12, 8–15, 11–5. Racquetball
Racquetball is a racquet sport and a team sport played with a hollow rubber ball on an indoor or outdoor court. Joseph Sobek invented the modern sport of racquetball in 1950, adding a stringed racquet to paddleball in order to increase velocity and control. Unlike most racquet sports, such as tennis and badminton, there is no net to hit the ball over, and, unlike squash, no tin (out of bounds area at the bottom of front wall) to hit the ball above. Also, the court's walls, floor, and ceiling are legal playing surfaces, with the exception of court-specific designated hinders being out-of-bounds. Racquetball is played between various players on a team who try to bounce the ball with the racquet onto the ground so it hits the wall, so that an opposing team’s player cannot bounce it back to the wall. Paola Longoria
Paola Michelle Longoria López (born 20 July 1989) is a Mexican racquetball player. She is the current Women's World Champion in Singles and the Team event, winning both divisions at the International Racquetball Federation (IRF) 2024 World Championships in San Antonio, Texas. Longoria is the most winning player in IRF World Championship history, and she is the only woman to win both singles and doubles at Worlds. Longoria is also the #1 player on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) tour, and was the first Mexican woman to attain the #1 pro ranking, doing so at the end of the 2008–09 season. She repeated the feat at the end of 2009–2010 season, and has been #1 for ten consecutive seasons. Conrrado Moscoso (born September 26, 1995) is a Bolivian racquetball player. He is a formeInternational Racquetball Federation(IRF) Men's Singles World Champion, which he won at the 2022 Racquetball World Championships in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Moscoso is the first Bolivian and first South American man to win an IRF World Championship in singles. Moscoso is also the current Pan American Champion in Men's Doubles and the Men's Team event, which are his sixth and seventh Pan American titles. Andrés Acuña (born September 11, 1995) is a Costa Rican racquetball player. He is the current World Games champion in racquetball, winning gold at the 2022 World Games, in Birmingham, Alabama.
