Edon Maxhuni
Edon Maxhuni (born May 21, 1998) is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for Karşıyaka Basket of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He is also part of the Finland men's national basketball team, Finland national team Youth career Maxhuni started playing basketball in a youth team of his hometown club before joining Helsingin NMKY in 2012. Later he was trained at the Helsinki Basketball Academy of the Basketball Finland, Finnish Basketball Association, and played in the second-tier Koripallon I-divisioona with the academy team HBA-Märsky. At the end of the 2016–17 season, Maxhuni was named the MVP of the Finnish second-tier league. College career He left Finland in 2017, to study and play basketball at Long Beach State University in California, United States. Karşıyaka Basket
Karşıyaka Basket is a Turkish professional basketball team located in Karşıyaka, İzmir, that competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League. It is a section of the multi-sport club Karşıyaka SK. The team also goes by the name of KSK, which stands for Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü (i.e. Karşıyaka Sport Club). History Karşıyaka SK was founded in 1912 and opened its basketball section in 1966. Karşıyaka Basket is considered to be one of the most important basketball teams in all of Turkey. They first played in the Turkish Basketball League in 1966. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. The 2024–25 LBA season was the 103rd season of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), the men's top tier professional basketball division of the Italian basketball league system. The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA Europe's second level competition. The BNXT League is a professional basketball league in Belgium and the Netherlands. The league is the first tier in both the Dutch and Belgian system, replacing the Dutch Basketball League, DBL and Pro Basketball League, PBL. The Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) is the top-tier men's basketball league in Estonia. The league is organized by the Estonian Basketball Association and played under rules of basketball#International Rules of Basketball, FIBA rules. The competition was founded in 1925.
