Edi Kurniawan
Edi Kurniawan (born January 7, 1988, in Lampung) is an Indonesian weightlifter. He dominated the 69 kg class by winning the gold medal at the 2007 Southeast Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand. Kurniawan represented Indonesia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's lightweight category. The clean and jerk is a composite of two weightlifting movements, most often performed with a barbell: the clean and the jerk. Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights.
