Eazy-Duz-It
''Eazy-Duz-It'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Eazy-E. It was released on November 22, 1988, by Ruthless Records and Priority Records. The album charted on two different charts and went 2× Platinum in the United States despite very little promotion by radio and television. Three single (music), singles were released from the album, each charting in the US. The remastered version contains tracks from the extended play (EP), ''5150: Home 4 tha Sick'' (1992). The 25th anniversary (2013) contains two bonus tracks which are 12" remixes of "We Want Eazy" and "Still Talkin.'" ''Eazy-Duz-It'' is the only full-length solo album Eazy-E released in his lifetime; for the remaining seven years of his life, he would continue recording with N.W.A until their break up in 1991, release two solo EPs and continue running his label Ruthless. Eazy-E
Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1964 – March 26, 1995), known professionally as Eazy-E, was an American rapper who propelled West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the group N.W.A and its label, Ruthless Records. Eazy-E is often referred to as the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap". Born in Compton, California, Wright had several legal troubles before founding Ruthless in 1987. After a short solo career with frequent collaboration with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, they joined, forming N.W.A, later that year. N.W.A's debut studio album, '' Straight Outta Compton'', was released in 1989. Controversial upon release, it is now ranked among the greatest and most influential albums ever. "Eazy-Duz-It" is a song by American rapper Eazy-E. It was released as the lead single from the album of the same name. It features the song "Radio" as a B-side. The B-side of the cassette single also contained the original version of the song "Compton's N the House" which only appears on the cassette single version, the vinyl single has a radio edit of "Eazy-Duz-It" instead of "Compton's N the House". There is a remix version of "Compton's N the House" that appears on N.W.A.'s ''Straight Outta Compton'' album, but the original can only be found on the cassette single and has never been released elsewhere. "We Want Eazy" is a song by American rapper Eazy-E. It was released as the third and final single from his debut album, ''Eazy-Duz-It''. The song features fellow N.W.A members Dr. Dre and MC Ren and was produced by Dr. Dre and DJ Yella. "We Want Eazy" also appears on his greatest hits, '' Eternal E''; a 12-inch remix of this song was released as a single in 1989 and appeared on the rapper's posthumous compilation, '' Featuring...Eazy-E''. The song borrows heavily from the Bootsy's Rubber Band's 1977 song " Ahh... The Name Is Bootsy, Baby!". Lorenzo Jerald Patterson (born June 16, 1969), known professionally by his stage name MC Ren, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Compton, California. He is the founder and owner of the independent record label Villain Entertainment. MC Ren began his career as a solo artist signed to Eazy-E's Ruthless Records in early 1987, while still attending high school. By the end of 1987, after having written nearly half of ''Eazy-Duz-It'', he became a member of N.W.A. "Eazy-er Said Than Dunn" is a song by American rapper Eazy-E. The song was released as the second single from his debut studio album, ''Eazy-Duz-It''. The track was produced by Dr. Dre and DJ Yella. Ruthless Records was an American independent record label founded by Eric "Eazy-E" Wright and Jerry Heller in Compton, California on March 3, 1987. All of the Ruthless trademarks have been owned by Comptown Records, Inc. since 1987. Antoine Carraby (born December 11, 1961), better known by his stage name DJ Yella, is an American DJ, record producer, and film director from Compton, California. DJ Yella began his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru along with Dr. Dre.
