Eagle Wynne McMahon is an American professional disc golfer from Boulder, Colorado. He has 53 career wins (including two majors) and is one of the highest rated players in the world. At the end of the 2023 season he was ranked 1st in the world by UDisc. Professional career Early career McMahon began playing disc golf in 2007, when he was nine years old, when he looked for a summer activity and soon started competing in smaller tournaments. His first victory in a PDGA-sanctioned event came in 2009 when he won the Johnny Roberts Memorial competing in the Junior II Boys class, later going on to win tournaments in both the intermediate and advanced classes. Beaver State Fling
The Beaver State Fling (BSF) is an annual disc golf tournament held at Riverbend Disc Golf Course at Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Oregon. History Originally created as part of the now defunct Oregon Series by Teresa Trueba Embree and Cris Bellinger, the Beaver State Fling was built up from its original C-Tier to a PDGA National Tour stop in 4 years. By 2005, it was the 5th largest tournament in the world by attendance. In 2010, spots filled up in 30 minutes and for the 2011 tournament new skill-level restrictions limited the number of professionals, while a lottery system was introduced for amateurs. In 2020, the BSF was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 BSF was cancelled as well, due to a combination of winter storm damage and uncertainty around the state of the pandemic. The Portland Open is an annual disc golf tournament held most recently at the Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon. History The Portland Open was founded in 2019 and held at Blue Lake Park. In 2020, the Portland Open was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Portland Open returned in 2021, and due to ongoing pandemic precautions, was moved to Glendoveer Golf Course where spectator tickets sold out quickly. In 2022, the Open consisted of two rounds at Blue Lake Park and the final two rounds at Glendoveer Golf Course. More than 2,000 spectators attended the event. For the 2023 tournament, two 18-hole courses were constructed at the Glendoveer Golf complex, with two rounds played on the East course and two rounds played on the West.
