EHC Chur
EHC Chur (formerly EHC Chur Sport AG) is a Switzerland, Swiss professional ice hockey team based in Chur, Switzerland. The club currently plays in the Swiss League (SL). Its home arena is the 6,500-seat Hallenstadion (Chur), Thomas Domenig Stadion. The team played in the National League B (today's Swiss League) until 2008 before returning to lower leagues for financial reasons. It eventually returned to semi-professional hockey in the third tiered MyHockey League (MHL). The team won the 2023-24 MHL title and achieved promotion to the Swiss League for the 2024-25 season. Harijs Vītoliņš (Harijs Vitolinsh; born April 30, 1968) is a Latvian former professional ice hockey centre. After being selected twice in the NHL Entry Draft, Vītoliņš played eight games in the National Hockey League with the Winnipeg Jets during the 1993–94 season, going scoreless. Enzo Corvi (born 23 December 1992) is a Swiss professional ice hockey center who currently plays for HC Davos of the National League (NL). Playing career Corvi made his professional debut in the lower Swiss leagues with his hometown club, EHC Chur. On 1 May 2012 Corvi left Chur to sign with NLA stalwart club, HC Davos. Leonīds Tambijevs (born September 26, 1970 in Riga, Soviet Union) is a former professional ice hockey left winger, currently serving as the head coach of Admiral Vladivostok in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Playing career Tambijevs began his career with the Dinamo Riga youth team. As a junior he played with several Latvian teams. He debuted at the USSR Tier III level with RASMS-Energo, but soon joined USSR top level team Leningrad SKA for the 1990/1991 season. Mika Juhani Strömberg (born February 28, 1970, in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques as their eleventh-round pick, #211 overall, in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After a ten-year career with Jokerit, he spent three years in Switzerland, with HC Fribourg-Gottéron and EHC Chur. After coming back to Jokerit for one season Strömberg again went overseas, this time to Stockholm and the Djurgårdens IF in the Swedish Elitserien. Wes Walz (born May 15, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre and coach. During his career, he was captain of the Minnesota Wild. He also played for the Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, and Detroit Red Wings. Walz had 260 points (109 goals, 151 assists), 343 penalty minutes, and earned 40 career multi-point games.
