Dyson Clapier
Dyson Clapier (born May 15, 2002), is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger for MLS Next Pro club Orlando City B, the reserve affiliate of Major League Soccer club Orlando City. Early career Clapier was developed in the Portland Timbers academy before college. In 2020, Clapier began attending the University of Akron and played for the school's soccer team while pursuing a major in sports studies. Club career After playing with the Portland Timbers academy, Clapier appeared for Portland's USL Championship side Portland Timbers 2 on August 31, 2019, in a 3–1 win over Reno 1868. In 2020, Clapier attended Akron University to play college soccer. During his 2021 season, Clapier appeared for USL League Two side Park City Red Wolves, scoring one goal in three appearances. The 2024 MLS SuperDraft was the 25th edition of the MLS SuperDraft, a sports draft to select amateur, usually collegiate, soccer players that are not affiliate with an MLS club, or college soccer players that had their Homegrown player rights relinquished by their parent MLS club. The draft was held on December 19, 2023, marking the second year in a row that the draft was held in December. Despite the draft being held in 2023, the draft retained the 2024 branding. Ahead of the 2024 draft, MLS has expanded the player eligibility criteria for the SuperDraft.
