Dork (EP)
''Dork'' / ''Stick Around'' is a split extended play by American punk rock bands AFI and Loose Change (which featured future AFI guitarist Jade Puget), released on March 2, 1993, on Key Lime Pie Records and Wilson House Records. This was AFI's first release, put out within a year of the band's formation, and was limited to around 200 copies. The cover is a picture of AFI drummer Adam Carson. "NyQuil" was written by then-bassist Vic Chalker, and was re-recorded for the band's first full-length album, '' Answer That and Stay Fashionable''. Counterfeits were sold on eBay for at least a year, which prompted former AFI bassist Geoff Kresge to reveal their inauthenticity. AFI (band)
AFI (abbreviation for A Fire Inside) is an American Rock music, rock band from Ukiah, California, formed in 1991. Since 1998, it consists of lead vocalist Davey Havok, drummer and backing vocalist Adam Carson, bassist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Hunter Burgan, and guitarist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Jade Puget. Havok and Carson are the sole remaining original members. Originally a hardcore punk band, they have since delved into many genres, starting with horror punk and following through post-hardcore and emo into alternative rock and gothic rock. AFI has released eleven studio albums, ten Extended play, EPs, one live album and one DVD. David Paden Marchand (born David Paden Passaro, November 20, 1975), known professionally as Davey Havok, is an American singer who is the lead vocalist of the Rock music, rock band AFI (band), AFI, the synth-pop band Blaqk Audio, the hardcore punk band XTRMST, and the New wave music, new wave band Dreamcar. Geoff Kresge is a songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and record producer. Career file:AFI Berkley.JPG, Kresge [far right] in 1995. ''Answer That and Stay Fashionable'' is the debut studio album by American punk rock band AFI. It was released on July 4, 1995, through Wingnut Records and rereleased on April 22, 1997, through Nitro Records. Background ''Answer That and Stay Fashionable'' was recorded in Hayward, California, at Art of Ears, the studio of Andy Ernst, in 1995. The album was produced by AFI, along with Doug Sangalang, Tim Armstrong and Brett Reed. It was recorded in under a week. All of the tracks except "Open Your Eyes" are copyrighted to Anthems for Insubordinates. The album originally included a hidden track, a cover of The Police's "Man in a Suitcase", which is absent on the rerelease. Adam Alexander Carson (born February 5, 1975) is the drummer of the alternative rock band AFI. He and Davey Havok are the two original members left in the lineup. Carson also filled in as drummer for the psychobilly band Tiger Army. His drumming can be found on Tiger Army's ''Early Years EP'' as well as their debut album ''Tiger Army''. Jade Errol Puget (born November 28, 1973) is an American musician and producer, best known as the guitarist for the rock band AFI (joined in 1998), the guitarist/writer for the straight edge hardcore band XTRMST, and the keyboardist/synthesizer operator for the electronic duo Blaqk Audio. Puget is vegetarian and straight edge. Career Before joining AFI on November 2, 1998, Jade Puget played in various bands, including Loose Change and Redemption 87.
