Donovan Ferreira
Donovan Ferreira (born 21 July 1998) is a South African cricketer. He plays as an all-rounder who can also keep wickets. He made his Twenty20 debut for Northerns in the 2018 Africa T20 Cup on 14 September 2018. He made his List A debut on 19 October 2019, for Northerns in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge. He made his first-class debut on 22 February 2021, for Easterns in the 2020–21 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup. 2021–22 CSA T20 Challenge
The 2021–22 CSA T20 Challenge was a Twenty20 cricket tournament that took place in South Africa during February 2022. It replaced the planned 2022 edition of the Mzansi Super League, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Imperial Lions were the defending champions. Following the conclusion of the group stage matches, Titans, Western Province, Dolphins and Rocks all progressed to the semi-finals of the tournament. In the first semi-final, Titans beat Dolphins by six wickets to advance to the final. They were joined in the final by Rocks, who beat Western Province by seven wickets in their semi-final match. In the final, Rocks beat Titans by 15 runs to win the tournament. CSA T20 Challenge
The CSA T20 Challenge is a domestic Twenty20 Cricket competition in South Africa, first contested in the 2003–04 season. It was previously known as the Standard Bank Pro20 Series until the 2010–11 season, the MiWay T20 Challenge for the 2011–12 season and most recently as the RamSlam T20 Challenge. The current champions are the Imperial Lions, whilst the Titans have been the most successful with 6 title wins. The tournament has been contested since its inception by the six franchise teams but for the 2007–08 season, Zimbabwe took part as a seventh side. The 2021–22 CSA One-Day Cup was a List A cricket competition that took place in South Africa in March and April 2022. It was the first edition of the tournament in the post-franchise era, and the first edition to return to a two-division league format. Domestic cricketing reforms were introduced in 2020 that discontinued the six franchise team format and announced a return to the more traditional provincial based system. The CSA One-Day Cup (formerly known as the Standard Bank Cup, the MTN Domestic Championship, and the Momentum One-Day Cup) is the premier domestic one-day cricket competition of South Africa, its matches having List A status. Matches are usually played partly under lights as day-night matches and occasionally get larger crowds than the Test matches. 2020–21 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup
The 2020–21 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa during February and March 2021. Easterns and KwaZulu-Natal were the defending champions, after the title was shared due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first matches were scheduled to start on 7 January 2021, however the start of the season was delayed until February due to the pandemic. Initially the tournament was to be played between the fifteen South African provincial teams, split into two groups. However, after the tournament restarted in February 2021, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed that the South Africa under-19 cricket team would also be included in the competition. Easterns (cricket Team)
Easterns (formerly Eastern Transvaal) has been playing first-class cricket in South Africa since October 1991, and List A cricket since October 1989. For the purposes of the SuperSport Series, Easterns has merged with Northerns (formerly Northern Transvaal) to form the Titans. Eastern Transvaal was spun off from Northern Transvaal at a meeting in Actonville, Benoni. Easterns was called Eastern Transvaal from October 1989 until February 1995, changing its name after the Transvaal became Gauteng and a new province called ''Eastern Transvaal'' (later Mpumalanga) was formed that excluded East Rand territories that were part of the Eastern Transvaal cricket team. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge
The 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge was a domestic one-day cricket tournament that took place in South Africa from October to March 2020. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2019–20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup, a first-class competition which featured the same teams. On 16 March 2020, Cricket South Africa suspended all cricket in the country for 60 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
