The 2022–23 CSA T20 Challenge was a Twenty20 cricket tournament that took place in South Africa during October and November 2022. The 19 season of the CSA T20 Challenge, established by Cricket South Africa.It took place from 17 October to 5 November 2022. Rocks were the defending champions. Cricket South Africa aka CSA is the governing body for both professional and amateur cricket in South Africa. In 1991, the separate South African Cricket Union and the South African Cricket Board merged to form the United Cricket Board of South Africa, ending racial separation governance in South African cricket. Cricket South Africa was formed in 2002, and initially ran parallel to the UCB, before becoming the sole governing body in 2008. Imperial Lions
The DP World Lions is a professional cricket team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The home venue is the DP World Wanderers Stadium which is situated in Illovo Sandton on Corlett Drive. The team plays in the CSA 4-Day Series first class cricket competition as well as in the Momentum 1 Day Cup, CSA Provincial T20 Knock-Out Competition and CSA T20 Challenge limited over competitions. Bongumusa Sibonelo Makhanya (born 7 March 1996) is a South African cricketer. He was part of South Africa U19 team for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Craig John Alexander (born 5 January 1987 in Cape Town) is a cricketer. He played in the 2004 and 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cups and plays first-class cricket for Dolphins. Heino Kuhn
Heino Gunther Kuhn (born 1 April 1984) is a South African cricketer who has played for the national team. He has played for Titans and Northerns in South African domestic cricket and in March 2018 signed a Kolpak contract with Kent County Cricket Club to play in English county cricket. He left Kent in 2021 and returned to South Africa to play for North West. North West (formerly Western Transvaal) plays first-class cricket in South Africa. North West Dragons was called Western Transvaal in 1989–90 when it began playing List A cricket in the Nissan Shield, and in 1991–92 when it began playing in the second tier of the South African first-class cricket competition. It changed its name to North West in 1996, after the creation of North West province from parts of the former Transvaal Province and Cape Province. Jean-Pierre Horatio "JP" Triegaardt (born 10 March 1984) is a former South African cricketer who is the current head coach of Griqualand West at South African provincial level. His playing career as a wicket-keeper for Griqualand West and the Knights franchise spanned from 2005 to 2013. The ITEC Knights are a Division 2 cricket team representing the province of Free State in South African domestic competitions. The Knights take part in the CSA 4-Day Series first-class competition, the Momentum One-Day Cup and the Mzansi Super League T20 competition.
