Donald Scott (triple Jumper)
Donald Scott (born February 23, 1992) is an American track and field athlete who competes in the triple jump. Scott earned bronze medal in triple jump at 2022 World Indoor Championships. He holds a wind-aided personal best of , set in 2019. He equalled that mark, to win the 2019 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He is a 2017 and 2019 U.S. Indoor Triple Jump Champion and a 2018 U.S. Outdoor Champion. Scott is a third-year volunteer coach (since 2015) at Eastern Michigan University. Career In his first season as a professional, Scott earned eighth place at the 2015 USATF Outdoor Championships and a fourth place at the USA Indoor Championships. In 2017, Scott took third at the Outdoor USA Championships, securing his spot on Team USA for the World Championships in London. 2018 USA Indoor Track And Field Championships
The 2018 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships were held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 2018 Athletics World Cup
The 2018 Athletics World Cup was held in London, United Kingdom, from 14 to 15 July 2018. This was the first and only edition of this competition. Each team entered one athlete per event, and points were gained on the basis of finishing position. Although the majority of World championship events were contested, no races over 1500 metres were held, and no road events or multievents are on the program. The competition focused on an overall team prize, team prize money, The Platinum Trophy and Platinum team medals, but individual gold, silver and bronze medals were also awarded in each individual event. While the event is organised outside of the official IAAF structures, the IAAF has expressed support for the event notwithstanding the existence of its own IAAF Continental Cup event. The Match Europe V USA
The Match Europe v USA was an international two-day outdoor track and field competition between the United States and Europe. It took place 9–10 September 2019 in Minsk, Belarus, three weeks prior to the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, a few days after the conclusion of the 2019 Diamond League and three months after the 2019 European Games. Team Europe won the Match, defeating Team USA by 724½ to 601½. Creation of the Match The match was agreed between European Athletics and USA Track & Field in December 2018 and marked the first international match between the two since the 1960s. 2019 World Championships In Athletics
The 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships () was the seventeenth edition of the biennial, global athletics competition organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), since renamed World Athletics. It was held between 27 September and 6 October 2019 in Doha, Qatar, at the renovated multi-purpose Khalifa International Stadium, but reduced to 21,000 available seats. 1,772 athletes from 206 teams competed in 49 athletics events over the ten-day competition, comprising 24 events each for men and women, plus a mixed relay. The men's triple jump event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place between 3 and 5 August 2021 at the Japan National Stadium. Approximately 35 athletes were expected to compete; the exact number was dependent on how many nations use universality places to enter athletes in addition to the 32 qualifying through time or ranking (2 universality places were used in 2016). 32 athletes from 19 nations competed. Athletics at the 2020 Summer Olympics were held during the last ten days of the Games. They were due to be held from 31 July – 9 August 2020, at the Japan National Stadium, Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the games were postponed to 2021, with the track and field events set for 30 July – 8 August. The sport of athletics at these Games was split into three distinct sets of events: track and field events, remaining in Tokyo, and road running events and racewalking events, moved to Sapporo. A total of 48 events were held, one more than in 2016, with the addition of a mixed relay event. 2021 Diamond League
The 2021 Diamond League, also known as the 2021 Wanda Diamond League for sponsorship reasons, is the twelfth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The 2021 season sees an increase back to 32 Diamond Disciplines from the 24 originally planned for the 2020 Diamond League. The final will use a new format set to take place over two days on 8–9 September in one final meet, the Weltklasse Zürich, as had been planned to be introduced in 2020 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
