The Malta Workers Party () was a political party in Malta. It was founded in 1949 by then prime minister Paul Boffa, shortly after his leadership of the Labour Party failed a motion of no confidence. The party was part of the opposition from 1950 to 1951, then a coalition government with the Nationalist Party from 1951 to 1955. History The Malta Workers Party was formed as a split from the Labour Party. Maltese prime minister Paul Boffa resigned as the Labour Party's leader following a motion of no confidence against him by party members in 1949. He had been a high school and college football coach from 1986 to 2015, including as the head football coach at Lane College from 2005 to 2007 and at Texas Southern University from 2008 to 2010.
