Dichter Der Nederlanden
Dichter der Nederlanden (''Poet of the Netherlands''), previously Dichter des Vaderlands (''Poet of the Fatherland''), is an unofficial title for the Poet laureate of the Netherlands. This position was created by the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad, the Nederlandse Programma Stichting and the foundation Poetry International in January 2000. The Dichter der Nederlanden's poetry represents the spirit of the Dutch people and culture. the current position holder is Babs Gons. ''NRC'', previously called ' (), is a daily morning newspaper published in the Netherlands by Mediahuis NRC. It is widely regarded as a newspaper of record in the country. History was first published on 1 October 1970 after a merger of the Amsterdam newspaper ' (founded 1828 by J.W. van den Biesen) and the Rotterdam ' (founded 1844 by Henricus Nijgh). Nederlandse Programma Stichting
NPS (Nederlandse Programma Stichting) (English: Dutch Programme Foundation) was a Dutch government-funded radio and TV broadcasting foundation. In the Dutch public broadcasting system, broadcasters – in the Dutch context, listener and viewer associations – do not have their stations but are allotted time on the three public television and eight public radio networks broadly to the size of their respective memberships. The NPS, however, does not have any members. History It was created on 28 April 1994, following a split-up of the responsibilities of the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS). The NPS took over the NOS's culture, information, minorities, and youth programming, allowing the NOS to concentrate on its role of providing impartial news coverage.
