Danny McCormack
Danny McCormack (born 28 February 1972) is an English rock musician, best known for several tenures as the bassist and backing vocalist for The Wildhearts. Biography McCormack became the bass player for The Wildhearts at age 19 in 1991, enjoying success during their commercial peak, until the band split in 1997. McCormack went on to form The Yo-Yos with Tom Spencer (formerly of The Lurkers), and the band released an album on Sub Pop Records before splitting in 2000. He re-joined The Wildhearts when they reformed in 2001, but only played with the band sporadically due to drug abuse, and left again in 2003. At the time the group's frontman Ginger Wildheart penned an open letter to ''Kerrang!'' magazine documenting McCormack's drug problems and wished him a complete recovery. McCormack briefly played with Dogs D'Amour before re-forming The Yo-Yos in 2005. That band released the EP ''Given Up Giving Up''. Endless, Nameless (album)
''Endless, Nameless'' is the third studio album by English rock band The Wildhearts, released in 1997. It was the band's first release on Mushroom Records and their only full album with guitarist Jef Streatfield. The songs " Urge" and "Anthem" were released as singles. The album reached no. 41 on the British album chart. Background The album shares its title with the Nirvana song " Endless, Nameless", though Wildhearts songwriter Ginger claims this is a coincidence and he was not previously aware of the song. However, some music journalists doubt this claim because of the band's well-known struggles with drugs during that period, while the album shares its noisy and unstructured nature with the Nirvana song. Recording was marred by heavy drug use among all the band's members, with bassist Danny McCormack often absent from the sessions, though he performed his first-ever lead vocal on "Anthem". The album was influenced by the popular noise rock and industrial rock of the period, ...

UK Album Downloads Chart
The UK Album Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts on behalf of the British music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The chart was introduced in April 2006 to coincide with the OCC's decision to include sales of album downloads in the UK Albums Chart. The first album to top the download chart was '' This New Day'' by Embrace. The chart is published in ''Music Week'', ''UKChartsPlus'' and on the OC's official website, with the former featuring the Top 75 downloads and the top 100 in the latter two. The chart only uses sales of ''permanent digital downloads'', that is album-downloads on non-subscription online music stores. History Before the inauguration of the download chart, only sales of physical formats—such as CD, vinyl and cassette tape—contributed towards an album's position on the UK Albums Chart. In 2004, in response to falling physical sales of singles, a downl ...

UK Independent Singles And Albums Charts
The UK Independent Singles Chart and UK Independent Albums Chart are charts of the best-selling independent singles and albums, respectively, in the United Kingdom. Originally published in January 1980, and widely known as the indie chart, the relevance of the chart dwindled in the 1990s as major-label ownership blurred the boundary between independent and major labels. Separate independent charts are currently published weekly by the Official Charts Company. History In the wake of punk, small record labels began to spring up, as an outlet for artists that were unwilling to sign contracts with major record companies, or were not considered commercially attractive to those companies. By 1978, labels like Cherry Red, Rough Trade, and Mute had started up, and a support structure soon followed, including independent pressing, distribution and promotion. These labels got bigger and bigger, and by 1980 they were having Top 10 hits in the UK Singles Chart. Chart success was limi ...

Earth Vs The Wildhearts
''Earth vs the Wildhearts'' is the debut studio album by British rock band the Wildhearts, released in 1993. The title is based on such B-movie titles as '' Earth vs. the Flying Saucers'' and '' Earth vs. the Spider''. The album has been reissued twice: first in 1994 with the addition of the formerly single-only track "Caffeine Bomb", and again in 2010 with several B-sides from the period. Recording Mick Ronson contributed one of the three guitar solos on "My Baby Is a Headfuck". This is believed to be Ronson's final appearance on record before his death on 29 April 1993. "We had the song 'My Baby Is a Headfuck' and it wasn't that great," recalled Ginger, "but we thought, 'If we can get Ronson to play a solo on it, then it'll work'… And Ronson wasn't around for very long, but I take solace in that it was the last of his recordings you got to hear… We got him to do one more take of the song because we didn't want him to stop playing. He nailed it the first time; we just want ...
