Dharmendra Sewan
Dharmendra Sewan ( Nepali: धर्मेन्द्र परियार (सेवान)) is a Nepali singer, songwriter, composer and performer. He released his debut single "Yo Andheri Raat" in 2002. Sewan was also involved in '' Melancholy'', an environmental song by 365 artists, written, composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka in which the song has been featured in Guinness World Records entitled "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording" , recorded on 19 May 2016 at Radio Nepal studio. __TOC__ Musical career He started his career a band called Damage Glitters. Later he had a solo career as a singer in venued in Lakeside, Pokhara. Sewan auditioned for season 1 of Nepali Tara by singing "Aba Chotharule Piroldaina Malai" from the movie 'Allare'. He ended up as a first runner-up in 2005 behind winner Deepak Limbu. He recorded his first song 'Yo Andheri Raat' in 2002. "Melancholy" ( Nepali: मिलानकोली) is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu. The show is a talent contest to decide the best new singer in Nepal based on viewer voting and participation. It's loosely based on British TV series Pop Idol, but is independently produced and is not a licensed adaptation. Safar is a 2016 Nepali film, directed by Ashish Shrestha. It was written by Keshav Khadka and features Sanjay Gupta, Eric Hanson, Shibir Pokharel, Manan Sapkota, and Nurja Shrestha. Music of the film was composed by Swaroop Raj Acharya, Ujjwal Meghi Gurung, and Dharmendra Sewan.
