Denys Vasyliuk
Denys Oleksandrovych Vasyliuk (; 17 January 1993 – 17 May 2024), nicknamed the Flash, was a Ukrainian fighter pilot. He was a lieutenant colonel in the Ukrainian Air Force. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Gold Star. Career Denys Vasyliuk was Lieutenant Colonel, First Deputy Commander of the Aviation Squadron. Denys was a fighter pilot of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a true professional in his field. Between March 2022 and May 2024, he carried out 94 sorties: he destroyed UAVs and cruise missiles, weapons, aircraft and military equipment of the Russian occupiers on the ground, in particular, he launched air strikes on targets on Zmiinyi Island. On May 17, 2024, when Lieutenant Colonel Denys Vasyliuk was attacking the enemy in the Kharkiv direction, an enemy missile hit his Sukhoi Su-27, Su-27P. Dzhankoi
Dzhankoi or Jankoy is a city of regional significance in the northern part of Crimea, internationally recognized as part of Ukraine, but since 2014 occupied by Russia. Andrii Borysovych Pilshchykov (; 3 February 1993 – 25 August 2023) was a Ukrainian fighter pilot with the call sign "Juice" (Джус) and a Captain (armed forces), captain in the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force. Oleksandr Yakovych Oksanchenko (; 26 April 1968 – 25 February 2022), nicknamed the Grey Wolf, was a Ukrainian fighter pilot and city councilor in Myrhorod. He was a colonel in the Ukrainian Air Force who won awards in several air shows before retiring in 2018. In 2022, he returned to resist the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and was killed by a Russian S-400 missile during the battle of Kyiv. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Gold Star. The Ghost of Kyiv (, ) is the nickname given to a Legend, mythical Mikoyan MiG-29, MiG-29 Fulcrum flying ace credited with shooting down six Russian planes over Kyiv during the Kyiv offensive (2022), Kyiv offensive on 24 February 2022.
