Denis Bastick
Denis Bastick (born 8 May 1981) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Templeogue Synge Street GAA, Templeogue Synge Street and, formerly, for the Dublin county football team, Dublin county team. Biography Bastick attended St. Josephs BNS Primary School in Terenure. Bastick's club side Templeogue Synge Street GAA, Templeogue Synge Street won promotion to the Dublin AFL Division 1, top league in Dublin football for 2007. Bastick was considered unlikely to feature in the 2007 league campaign for Dublin due to a cruciate knee injury. Bastick made his return to the inter-county scene in June 2007 by being named on the Dublin GAA, Dublin panel to Wicklow GAA, Wicklow in the Leinster Junior Football Championship. Bastick won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship with Templeogue Synge Street in 2008. He was Captain (Gaelic games), captain of the 2008 All-Ireland Junior Football winning Dublin team. The National Football League (NFL; ) is an annual Gaelic football competition between the senior county teams of Ireland plus London. Sponsored by Allianz, it is officially known as the Allianz National Football League. The Gaelic Athletic Association organises the league. The winning team receives the New Ireland Cup, presented by the New Ireland Assurance Company. Carton House is a country house and surrounding demesne that was the ancestral seat of the Earls of Kildare and Dukes of Leinster for over 700 years.
