''Demon Hunter'' is the debut studio album by American Christian metal band Demon Hunter. It was released on Solid State Records on October 22, 2002. Recording The album was recorded in Drop C tuning. All of Demon Hunter's subsequent releases would be dropped even lower to Drop B. Industrial vocal elements are also featured in various songs. Touring and promotion Demon Hunter joined Extol on tour in the summer of 2003. Demon Hunter's material first appeared on ''This Is Solid State Vol. 3'' in February 2002, which included a demo recording of the band's song "Through the Black". "Through the Black" was later re-recorded for Demon Hunter's self-titled album. The band's first single, "Infected," had a music video which debuted on MTV2's ''Extreme Rock'' and found considerable airplay on Fuse TV's ''Uranium''. Demon Hunter is an American Christian metal band from Seattle, Washington, formed by brothers Don Clark (musician), Don Clark and Ryan Clark (musician), Ryan Clark in 2000. Ryan is the band's only remaining original member, as Don left in 2009. As of the 2010s, the band has sold over 600,000 albums. Ryan Clark (musician)
Ryan Curtis Clark (born June 23, 1979) is an American musician who also has performed under the stage name Maven. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the Christian metal band Demon Hunter, which he co-founded with his brother, guitarist Don Clark. He was also the frontman for Christian metalcore band Training for Utopia along with being one of the guitarists for Focal Point. He is featured on Zao's ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'' DVD and Mark Salomon's Podcast, Never Was. History Before Demon Hunter, Clark was a former guitarist of the short-lived Sacramento/Elk Grove, California-based hardcore punk band Focal Point. ''Songs of Death and Resurrection'' is a collection of reworked versions of previously released songs by American Christian metal band Demon Hunter, released by Solid State Records on March 5, 2021. The album consists of new studio recordings of songs from across their catalog, deconstructed and reconstructed into so-called "Resurrected" versions, primarily in the acoustic format, and often accompanied by piano and strings. ''45 Days'' is the first live album by American Christian metal band Demon Hunter (band), Demon Hunter. The three-disc set, two DVDs and one CD, was released on November 25, 2008. The DVDs of the release consist of a 90-minute documentary on the band, including touring and in depth interviews on the first disc, and an entire live concert on the second disc. The live set was recorded at Rockettown in Nashville, TN on June 26, 2008 during the band's "Stronger Than Hell" tour alongside Living Sacrifice. The included CD will be the music that serves as a soundtrack to the documentary. Living Sacrifice
Living Sacrifice is an American Christian metal band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1989. The band has released eight studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson, starting off as thrash metal, followed by death metal. The band evolved into a groove metal and metalcore style beginning with '' Reborn'' (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals. In 2003, the group disbanded due to other projects and later their label, Solid State, released their best-of album, ''In Memoriam'' (2005). Zao () is an American metalcore band founded in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and later relocated to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Founded in March 1993, Zao has hosted several musicians and endured numerous roster changes to the point where no original members remain. Former drummer Jesse Smith, vocalist Dan Weyandt, and guitarists Scott Mellinger and Russ Cogdell are seen by some fans as the "core" of Zao, with the current line up being the longest running in the band's history.
