Antônio Delfim Netto (; 1 May 1928 – 12 August 2024) was a Brazilian economist, academic, and politician who was the Ministry of Finance (Brazil), Minister of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture (Brazil), Agriculture, and Ministry of Planning, Budget, and Management, Planning, as well as a National Congress of Brazil, congressman. During his incumbency as Minister of Finance of Brazil, the country experienced the so-called Brazilian Miracle, Economic Miracle, a time of unprecedented economic growth. The Milagre Econômico overseen by Delfim Netto relied on a heterodox, developmentalist model. The economic expansion relied on low wages, rapidly rising exports, and foreign capital inflows. Delfim Netto gave another added meaning to the phrase "cake theory" in reference to this model: the cake had to grow before it could be distributed. Francisco Delfim Dias Faria (9 October 1949 – 10 June 2004), commonly known as Chico Faria, was a Portuguese footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Matosinhos, Faria spent his first 15 seasons as a professional in the Primeira Liga, making his debut in the competition with hometown club Leixões S.C. at only 17. In the 1968 summer he signed for Sporting Clube de Portugal, where he went on to win two national championships and three Taça de Portugal trophies. Faria subsequently represented S.C. Braga, equalling a career-best ten goals in the 1979–80 campaign to help his team to the ninth position. From 1982 to 1985 he competed in the Segunda Liga, retiring the following year after a spell in amateur football. International career Faria gained four caps for Portugal, in five years. Tiago Abiola Delfim Almeida Ilori (born 26 February 1993) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Erovnuli Liga club Dila.
