Delwyn Dean Stromer (April 22, 1930 – September 7, 2003) was an American politician who served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1967 to 1991. He served as Speaker of the Iowa House for two years, from 1981 to 1982. Terry Edward Branstad (born November 17, 1946) is an American politician and former diplomat. A member of the Republican Party, he served three terms in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1973 to 1979 before serving as governor of Iowa from 1983 to 1999 and again from 2011 to 2017. The Iowa House of Representatives is the lower house of the Iowa General Assembly, the upper house being the Iowa Senate. There are 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing 100 single-member districts across the state, formed by dividing the 50 Senate districts in half.
