Decon
Decon is a New York–based advertising agency and record label. Decon is known for their "Green Week" initiative for NBC Universal, which involved an installation at the 30 Rockefeller Center. Additionally, Decon has produced documentary-style profiles featuring Nissan Leaf. They were also involved in launch of the Fiat 500 in New York in the year 2011. History Originally named Deconstruction Company, it was founded in 2002 by Peter Bittenbender and Jason Goldwatch after the creation of their hip-hop documentary and accompanying soundtrack, ''One Big Trip''. The soundtrack was then released as a double-sided DVD/CD in 2002 with Hieroglyphic Imperium Records. In 2012, Decon earned a Promax Award for work on NBCUniversal's "Green Week" campaign. Stay Up! (Viagra)
"Stay Up! (Viagra)" is the first single released from producer-rapper 88-Keys' debut album '' The Death of Adam'' and features the album's co-executive producer Kanye West. The song samples "All Night Loving" by British R&B three-piece band Imagination. The single was released digitally on August 25, 2008. According to both artists, the song, which follows the overall storyline of the concept album, is about a man named Adam, who after a bad string of relationships, decides to take Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) in an attempt "stay up" longer. A snippet of the track was first previewed on Kanye West's 2007 ''Can't Tell Me Nothing'' mixtape and featured an additional spoken word verse delivered by Malik Yusef. ''The Death of Adam'' is the debut studio album by American hip hop producer and rapper 88-Keys. Released on November 11, 2008, the album features guest appearances by Kanye West, Kid Cudi, J*Davey, Redman, Bilal, Phonte of Little Brother, and alternative rock group Shitake Monkey. Concept The album tells the story of an investigation surrounding the death of a man named Adam who was murdered in his Harlem loft apartment. Charles Misodi Njapa (born March 5, 1976), known professionally as 88-Keys, is an American record producer and rapper from New York City. Biography Born in New York City to West African parents from Cameroon, he was raised in the Eastchester section of the Bronx and later in West Hempstead on Long Island, where he attended high school. 88-Keys first took an interest in hip hop after hearing Prince Paul's production on De La Soul's 1989 critically acclaimed album '' 3 Feet High and Rising''. Edwin Maximilian "Eddie" Hayes, Jr. (born September 30, 1970), better known by his stage name Aceyalone, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California, United States. Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists". The community was founded by The Roots' drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and author Angela Nissel as a loose musical collective in 1987, and evolved into an online community in 1999. In 2004, Questlove launched Okayplayer Records as a spin-off of the community, in partnership with Decon.
