Davy Coenen
Davy Coenen (2 April 1980 – 9 February 2010) was a Belgians, Belgian mountain biker. He won both the ''Benelux Cup'' and the ''Flanders Cup''. He also finished third in the 2007 Belgium championship. While training to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games Davy was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February 2009. He died of the tumor a year later at the age of 29. Mountain biking is a sport of riding bicycles off-road, often over rough terrain, usually using specially designed mountain bikes. Mountain bikes share similarities with other bikes but incorporate features designed to enhance durability and performance in rough terrain, such as air or coil-sprung shocks used as suspension, larger and wider wheels and tires, stronger frame materials, and mechanically or hydraulically actuated disc brakes. A brain tumor occurs when abnormal cells form within the brain. There are two main types of tumors: malignant tumors and benign (non-cancerous) tumors. These can be further classified as primary tumors, which start within the brain, and secondary tumors, which most commonly have spread from tumors located outside the brain, known as brain metastasis tumors.
