David Lipsky (golfer)
David Lipsky (born July 14, 1988) is an American professional golfer. Lipsky played college golf at Northwestern University where he was an All-American and won the 2010 Big Ten individual championship. Lipsky turned professional after graduating in 2011. He joined the Asian Tour in 2012 and won the Handa Faldo Cambodian Classic in his third start on the tour. In 2014 he won the Omega European Masters, a European Tour event co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour; he went on to win the 2014 Asian Tour Order of Merit. Since that victory, he has competed predominantly on the European Tour and won for the second time at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in 2018. He has also played on the second-tier Korn Ferry Tour in the United States, winning once. Omega European Masters
The Omega European Masters is the Switzerland, Swiss stop on professional men's golf's European Tour, and in 2009 it became the first event in Europe to be co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour. Founded as the Swiss Open in 1923, the tournament was prefixed with European Masters in 1983, before dropping Swiss Open from the title in 1992. During the 1971 event, Baldovino Dassù became the first player to score 60 for 18 holes on the European circuit. The tournament has been held at the Golf-Club Crans-sur-Sierre at Crans-Montana in Valais since 1939, and is currently played in early September each year. Graeme Storm
Graeme Raymond Storm (born 13 March 1978) is an English professional golfer. Career Storm was born in Hartlepool. He learnt his trade at Hartlepool Golf Club, where he still holds the course record of 62. He won The Amateur Championship in 1999 and represented Great Britain & Ireland in the Walker Cup, before turning professional in 2000. Storm initially had difficulty establishing himself on the European Tour, and took a job in a local cake factory in the off season to help finance his early years as a professional. In 2004 he recorded two wins on the second tier Challenge Tour on his way to fourth in the end of season rankings, and automatic graduation back to the European Tour for 2005. That season he made a major advance by finishing 31st on the European Tour Order of Merit, an improvement of 90 places on his previous best. 2014 European Tour
The 2014 European Tour was the 43rd season of the European Tour, the main professional golf tour in Europe since its inaugural season in 1972. Changes for 2014 New tournaments for the 2014 season were the Made in Denmark, D+D Real Czech Masters tournaments and the EurAsia Cup team event between the European Tour and the Asian Tour. Lost from the schedule were the Avantha Masters and the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, with the venue hosting the 2014 Ryder Cup. Sunshine Tour
The Sunshine Tour is a men's professional golf tour based in Southern and East Africa. For much of its early history it was known either as the Southern Africa Tour or Sunshine Circuit; through sponsorship deals, it has also been known as the FNB Tour and the Vodacom Tour. For the 2000–01 season the tour rebranded itself as the ''Sunshine Tour'' in an attempt to broaden its appeal. A large majority of the tour events are still staged in South Africa. The 2015 WGC-Cadillac Championship was a golf tournament played March 5–8 on the TPC Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. It was the 16th WGC-Cadillac Championship tournament, and the first of the World Golf Championships events to be staged in 2015. The tournament was won by Dustin Johnson. The World Golf Championships (WGC) were a group of annual professional golf tournaments played from 1999 through 2023 created by the International Federation of PGA Tours as a means of gathering the best players in the world together more frequently than the pre-existing four Men's major golf championships, major championships. All WGC tournaments are official money events on the PGA Tour and the European Tour, and officially sanctioned by the Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour, Sunshine Tour, and PGA Tour of Australasia. The 2015 Open Championship was a men's major golf championship and the 144th Open Championship, held from 16 to 20 July at the Old Course at St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The Championship At Laguna National
The Ballantine's Championship (known as The Championship at Laguna National in its final year) was a European Tour golf tournament which was played from 2008 to 2014. It was the first European Tour event to be staged in South Korea. From 2008 to 2010, the tournament was played at Pinx Golf Club on the island of Jeju. From 2011 to 2013, the tournament was played at Blackstone Golf Club. In 2014, the event has moved to Laguna National Golf & CC in Singapore and titled as The Championship at Laguna National. Felipe Andrés Aguilar Schuller (born 7 November 1974) is a Chilean professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Biography Aguilar was born on 7 November 1974 in Valdivia, Chile. His maternal grandfather designed golf courses in Chile after emigrating from Germany and introduced Aguilar to the sport. Professional career In 2006, Aguilar became the second Chilean, after Roy Mackenzie, to earn full membership to the European Tour. Qualifying School
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage.
