Dave Phillips (musician)
Dave Phillips (born January 18, 1969) also known as dp, is a British-French-Swiss experimental noise musician, composer, performer and multimedia artist. He is best known for his solo work, but also as part of Schimpfluch-Gruppe, as founder of the group OHNE, as one half of Perverts In White Shirts, and as founding member of Swiss Grindcore#Continental_European_grindcore, grindcore pioneers Fear Of God. He has been active since the mid-80's in independent metal, hardcore punk and noise music scenes. Phillips refers to his oeuvre as ''Ritual Protest Music'', Metamkine called him a ''Musique Concrète Actionist''. Life Phillips is born on 18 January 1969 in Zug, Switzerland to a British father and French mother. Spike Jones and The Goon Show mark his infant years. Messiah (Swiss Band)
Messiah is a death and thrash metal band from Switzerland. The band has had three vocalists over its existence with vocalist Andy Kaina's tenure the longest. Guitarist R.B. Broggi has been the band's only constant member since inception. Godflesh
Godflesh are an English industrial metal band from Birmingham. The group formed in 1982 under the original title O.P.D. (later Fall of Because) but did not release any complete music until 1988 when Justin Broadrick (guitar, vocals, programming) and B. C. Green (bass, programming) renamed the band and decided to use a drum machine for percussion. Carcass (band)
Carcass are an English death metal band from Liverpool, formed in 1985. The band have gone through several line-up changes, leaving guitarist Bill Steer and bassist-vocalist Jeff Walker as the only constant members. RecRec Music was a Swiss independent record label created in 1983 by Daniel Waldner. The label was modeled on, and affiliated to, the British independent record label Recommended Records, but remained financially independent. The label went bankrupt in 1997 after the death of Waldner in 1995. History In 1979 Veit Stauffer and Daniel Waldner founded RecRec Zürich in Switzerland, after suggestions from Chris Cutler that they establish a record distribution company similar to the British independent record label Recommended Records that Cutler had created the previous year. Unterägeri is a municipality in the canton of Zug in Switzerland. History Oberägeri is first mentioned in 1150 as ''Agregia''. In 1538 it was mentioned as ''Ober Egere''.
