Daryl Gralka
Daryl Gralka Lerner (born May 4, 1954) is an American former professional tennis player. A native of Houston, Gralka was active on the professional tour in the 1970s. She featured as a lucky loser in the singles main draw of the 1974 French Open and won her first round match over Antonella Rosa. From 1979 to 1984 she served as the women's head coach at the University of Houston. 1974 French Open – Women's Singles
Chris Evert defeated Olga Morozova in the final, 6–1, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1974 French Open. It was her first major singles title, the first of an eventual record seven French Open women's singles titles, and the first of an eventual 18 major singles titles. Evert did not lose a set during the tournament. Evert and Morozova also won the women's doubles title together. Margaret Court was the reigning champion, but chose not to defend her title. The 1974 French Open was a tennis tournament that took place on the outdoor clay courts at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. The tournament ran from 3 June until 16 June. It was the 73th staging of the French Open, and the second Grand Slam tennis event of 1974. Antonella Rosa (1 February 1957 – 2020) was an Italian professional tennis player. Rosa, a native of the Liguria region of Italy, had an unusual technique of using a forehand on both sides of her body. She stopped hitting a backhand on the recommendation of a coach, due to an injury sustained to her right hand. While competing on tour in the 1970s she was at her height the fourth ranked player in Italy.
