DTD, also known as 10 Darwin, is a digital television station in Darwin, Northern Territory. It is jointly owned by Nine Entertainment (owner of Nine Darwin) and Southern Cross Austereo (owner of Seven Darwin) and operates under the company name Darwin Digital Television. History The licence to operate Darwin's third commercial television station was allocated to Darwin Digital Television Pty Ltd, a joint venture with the two existing commercial television broadcasting licensees in the Darwin area, Regional Television Pty Ltd ( TND - Southern Cross Darwin) and Territory Television Pty Ltd ( NTD - Nine Darwin) in early 2007. Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimetre).
