Darren Roach
Darren Roach (born December 29, 1986, in Saint John, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler. He currently throws third stones for the Jason Roach rink from Saint John, New Brunswick. Roach twice (2004 and 2005) won the New Brunswick men's junior championships playing second on a team skipped by Ryan Sherrard. The team won the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in their first attempt in 2004. They had finished the round robin with a 9–3 record, in a three way tie for first. The team would go on to win both of their playoff games, including the final against Manitoba's Daley Peters. The team then represented Canada at the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships. The team finished the round robin with a 5–4 record, tied with Korea. However, they lost in the tie-breaker match against the Koreans. Saint John, New Brunswick
Saint John is a seaport city of the Atlantic Ocean located on the Bay of Fundy in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. The 2013 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held from March 2 to 10 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta. This edition of the Brier marked the thirteenth time that Alberta has hosted the Brier, and the sixth time that Edmonton has hosted the Brier. Tim Hortons Brier
The Tim Hortons Brier, or simply (and more commonly) the Brier (''french: Le Brier''), is the annual Canadian men's curling championship, sanctioned by Curling Canada. The current event name refers to its main sponsor, the Tim Hortons coffee and donut shop chain. "Brier" originally referred to a brand of tobacco sold by the event's first sponsor, the Macdonald Tobacco Company. The Brier has been held since 1927, traditionally during the month of March. The winner of the Brier goes on to represent Canada at the World Curling Championships of the same year. World Curling Tour
The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Daley Peters
Daley Peters (born September 18, 1984) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He currently plays third on Team Corey Chambers. Career Peters was a back to back Manitoba Junior curling champion in 2004 and 2005, the first Junior Men's skip to repeat in Manitoba in nearly a decade. Beginning in 2009, he curled with his father and former Labatt Brier champion, Vic Peters. Daley was also a former member and skip of the Jason Gunnlaugson team, before that squad went on to curl in the 2009 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials.
