Vader (band)
Vader is a Polish death metal band from Olsztyn. Formed in 1983, the group was founded by then-bassist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek and guitarist Zbigniew "Vika" Wróblewski. Vader went through several lineup changes over the years, with Wiwczarek as the only constant member. Since 2022, the band has comprised Wiwczarek on guitars and vocals, guitarist Marek "Spider" Pająk, bassist Tomasz "Hal" Halicki, and drummer Michał Andrzejczyk. Starting as a heavy metal group, Vader eventually went to thrash, speed, and then in the late 1980s became a death metal band. Vesania (Latin for "insanity") is a Polish extreme metal band formed in 1997 by Orion, Daray and Heinrich. Later members were Annahvahr and Hatrah, who left the band in 1999 and was replaced by Siegmar. Their first release, ''Moonastray'', was a split with Black Altar, released in 2002 by Odium Records exclusively in Poland. The release was limited to 666 copies and each CD was signed with blood. 2003 saw the release across Europe of their first full-length album, '' Firefrost Arcanum'', by Empire Records. This was followed by the departure of band member Annahvahr. It was released on 8 September 2004 in Japan by Marquee/Avalon, 20 September in Poland via Metal Mind Productions, and a day later in Europe and the United States by Metal Blade Records. The album's working title was ''Spiritual Disease''. The release was preceded by the single "Beware the Beast", which was released on 25 August 2004. The album was nominated for a Fryderyk Award in the category 'Metal Album of the Year (Album roku metal)'.
