Daniil Parkman
Daniil Vladimirovich Parkman (russian: Даниил Владимирович Паркман; ka, დანიილ ვლადიმიროვიჩ პარკმანი; born 17 April 1999) is a Russian-born pair skater who is now representing United States and formerly competed for Georgia. With his former skating partner, Anastasiia Metelkina, he is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo bronze medalist and 2021 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb silver medalist. Metelkina/Parkman are the first Georgian pairs team to compete at a World Championships, doing so in 2021. Early career Parkman began figure skating in 2003. As a singles skater, he won the gold medal on the junior level at the Tallinn Trophy, 2012 Tallinn Trophy. Anastasia Nikolaevna Metelkina (russian: Анастасия Николаевна Метёлкина; ka, ანასტასია ნიკოლაევნა მეტელკინა; born 10 March 2005) is a Russian-born pair skater who competes for Georgia. With current partner Luka Berulava, she is the 2023–24 Junior Grand Prix Final champion and a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalist. 2021 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2021 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Stockholm, Sweden from March 22–28, 2021. Figure skaters competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition was used to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2022 World Championships and was the first qualification event for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Stockholm was announced as the host in June 2018. It was the first time that Stockholm had hosted the World Championships since 1947 and the first time that Sweden had hosted since 2008. The World Championships were the only ISU Championship event held during the 2020–21 season, as the European, Four Continents, and World Junior Championships were all cancelled. The World Figure Skating Championships (''"Worlds"'') is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union.
