Daniel P. Driscoll
Daniel Patrick Driscoll is an American politician, businessman, lawyer, and former military officer who has served as the 26th United States secretary of the Army as well as the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he was a candidate for North Carolina's 11th congressional district in 2020. Early life and education Driscoll was raised in Banner Elk, North Carolina. North Carolina's 11th congressional district encompasses most of Western North Carolina. Since January 3, 2023, the congressional district, district has been represented by Chuck Edwards. The 11th district has historically been known for its volatile politics and was once considered one of the most competitive congressional districts in North Carolina. Cavalry Scout is the job title of someone who has achieved the military occupational specialty of 19D Armored Reconnaissance Specialist in the Combat Arms branch of the United States Army.
