"Dance Alone" is a song by Australian singer-songwriters Sia and Kylie Minogue. It was released on 7 February 2024 by Atlantic Records as the second single from Sia's tenth studio album ''Reasonable Woman''. It is also included on Minogue's seventeenth studio album ''Tension II'' (2024). Background and release In September 2023, Sia announced her tenth studio album ''Reasonable Woman'' and released its lead single, " Gimme Love". In the same month, Kylie Minogue released her sixteenth studio album, ''Tension'', to critical acclaim. Sia and Minogue had previously collaborated on the latter's twelfth studio album ''Kiss Me Once'' (2014), with Sia executive producing the album and co-writing two songs. Simon de Wit (born 19 April 1997), known professionally as Blanks, is a Dutch singer, musician and YouTuber. Beginning his music career as a YouTuber, he created his channel 'Music by Blanks' in 2013. His remakes of Bazzi's " Mine" and Post Malone's " Better Now" went viral in 2018 and became his breakthrough. Career In 2013, De Wit started his own YouTube channel under the name of 'Music by Blanks', where he regularly uploads music and vlog videos. His earliest videos were done in Dutch, but after his remake of Bazzi's " Mine" went viral in February 2018, he decided to switch fully to English. One of his current video formats is "Style Swap", where he remakes an existing song into an 80s-style track. Macedonia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Dance Alone" written by Borislav Milanov, Alex Omar, Joacim Persson and Florence A. The song was performed by Jana Burčeska, who was internally selected by the Macedonian broadcaster Macedonian Radio Television (MRT) to compete for Macedonia at the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Jana Burčeska's appointment as the Macedonian representative was announced on 21 November 2016, while her song, "Dance Alone", was presented to the public during the MRT programme ''Stisni Plej'' on 10 March 2017. Macedonia was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 11 May 2017. Performing during the show in position 3, "Dance Alone" was not announced among the top 10 entries of the second semi-final and therefore did not qualify to compete in the final.
