Club career Albirex Niigata (S) After graduating from Tokai University, Horikoshi signed for Albirex Niigata Singapore of the Singapore Premier League (SPL) for their 2019 season. He started in the 2019 Singapore Community Shield, where they lost to Home United, 5–4 on penalties. He scored the opening goal on their 2–1 away league win over Warriors FC on 13 April. Albirex Niigata Singapore FC, abbreviated as Albirex Niigata (S), is a Singaporean football club that plays in the Singapore Premier League. The club is a satellite team of Albirex Niigata of Japan. History Albirex Niigata Singapore, a satellite team of Japanese club Albirex Niigata, joined the S. League in 2004. The Singapore Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Singaporean football. Established in 1998, it is the foremost football cup competition in the country. It is open to clubs in the Singapore Premier League. Since 2005, foreign teams from other countries in Southeast Asia are occasionally invited to compete in the Singapore Cup. Chonburi Province FC from Thailand was the first foreign club reaching the final in 2006 (they lost 3–2 in the final to local club Tampines Rovers).
