Andrew James Kalen Daish (born 6 September 1984) is a Swedish rugby union player of Welsh parentage. As well as playing for Old Albanian as part of the back row Rugby Union Career Youth career Andrew was born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England. He started playing rugby union at the age of six for Old Albanian, based in St Albans, and represented Hertfordshire at U12, U14, U16 and U17 level. He also represented London and South East Division at U16, Wales Youth (U18), Wales Schools (U18), Wales U19 and was captain of his school side at Verulam School, St Albans. Ella Daish is a British environmental activist campaigning to persuade retailers and manufacturers to remove plastic from menstrual products. In February 2018, whilst working as a postal worker, she started the End Period Plastic campaign. She went on to become a full-time activist. The BBC put Daish on its 100 Women of 2019 annual list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world. "Period products are the fifth most common item found on Europe's beaches" and "200,000 tonnes of uchmaterial is believed to end up in UK landfill every year." Around 90% of a menstrual pad is plastic. In December 2018 Daish launched the Eco Period Box campaign to address period poverty, donating plastic-free and reusable period products around the UK. In 2019 she helped persuade Caerphilly County Borough Council to spend all of its grant money for providing free menstrual products to schools, on eco-friendly products. Jake Barker-Daish (born 7 May 1993) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays as a midfielder for Moreland Zebras. He previously played for Adelaide United in the A-League. In the 2010–11 season Barker-Daish won the Australian Institute of Sport Player of the Year.
