Jake Barker-Daish
Jake Barker-Daish (born 7 May 1993) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays as a midfielder for Moreland Zebras. He previously played for Adelaide United in the A-League. In the 2010–11 season Barker-Daish won the Australian Institute of Sport Player of the Year. Club career Youth career Barker-Daish was selected for the Australian Institute of Sport at just 15 years of age. Gold Coast United In 2011 Barker-Daish signed with A-League club Gold Coast United. He made his professional debut in the 2011–12 A-League season on 17 February 2012, in a round 21 clash against Melbourne Heart. He made seven appearances for Gold Coast United, where he managed to gain 3 assists in his first two starts. Adelaide United On 6 April 2012, it was announced that Barker-Daish had signed for Adelaide United in the A-League. 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup
The 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the 18th FIFA U-20 World Cup. Colombia hosted the tournament between 29 July and 20 August 2011, with matches being played in eight cities. The tournament was won by Brazil who claimed their fifth title. At a FIFA Executive Committee meeting held in Sydney on 26 May 2008, Colombia beat the only other candidate country, Venezuela, for the right to organize the U-20 World Cup. It was suggested by the then-Vice President of Colombia Francisco Santos Calderón that it was needed to withdraw from the race with Brazil to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup so the nation could concentrate on hosting the "best possible games". In an inspection tour of development works in March 2010, Jack Warner, then the vice president of FIFA, said that the completion of this tournament could provide Colombia with a launch pad to become a possible host for the 2026 World Cup. North Geelong Warriors Football Club, formerly known as North Geelong Croatia, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club from the regional Victorian city of Geelong. The National Premier Leagues Victoria, commonly known as NPL Victoria, is a semi-professional soccer league in Victoria, Australia. The league is a part of the National Premier Leagues, and is the highest level within the Victorian soccer league system, serving jointly as the second tier within the overall Australian pyramid. Administered by Football Victoria, NPL Victoria is the latest iteration of first division competitions in the state.
