Emin Sabitoglu (, real name Emin Sabit oghlu Mahmudov (); 2 November 1937 – 18 November 2000) was a Soviet Azerbaijani composer, author of a lot of well-known Azerbaijani songs and music for films. People's Artist of Azerbaijan. Biography Emin Sabitoglu was born on 2 November 1937, in the family of Azerbaijani writer Sabit Rahman. After graduation from musical school in Baku, he entered Gara Garayev’s class at Baku Academy of Music, Baku Conservatoire, in 1954. Two years later he was transferred to Moscow Conservatory, Moscow State Conservatory named after Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Tchaikovsky (Yuri Shaporin’s class). In 1961, he began to work as a music editor in the film studio “Azerbaijanfilm". In consecutive years he worked as the art director of the State Philarmony, and also taught at Baku Academy of Music, State Conservatory named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov. The ''Book of Dede Korkut'' or ''Book of Korkut Ata'' (, ; ; ) is the most famous among the dastans or epic stories of the Oghuz Turks. The stories carry morals and values significant to the social lifestyle of the nomadic Turkic peoples and their pre-Islamic beliefs. The book's mythic narrative is part of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Oghuz origin, mainly of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan. Only two manuscripts of the text, one in the Vatican and one in Dresden, Germany, were known before a third manuscript was discovered in a private collection in Gonbad-e Kavus, Iran, in 2018. Hasan Agamammad oglu Mammadov (; 22 November 1938 – 26 August 2003) was a theater and cinema actor of Azerbaijan, People's Artist of Azerbaijan (1982) received USSR and Azerbaijan State Awards. Life Hasan Mammadov was born on November 22, 1938, in the Salyan district of Azerbaijan. He graduated from secondary school No 2 in 1956 and entered the Physics-Mathematics faculty of the Azerbaijan State University (present-day Baku State University). Shafiga Hashim gizi Mammadova (; March 30, 1945) — is an Azerbaijani cinema and theatre actress. She was the honoured Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1974) and People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1982). Biography She was born on March 30, 1945, in Derbent, Dagestan.
