History of the team 2009 2012 The team's first win of the season came in the Ronde van Drenthe where Marianne Vos claimed victory. Ronde van Drenthe () was an elite men's and women's professional road bicycle racing event held annually in the Drenthe, Netherlands and sanctioned by the Royal Dutch Cycling Union. The women's event was part of the UCI Women's World Tour, and the men's event was part of the UCI Europe Tour. In 2024, organisers announced that the race had been cancelled, owing to increasing costs, regulations and lack of support from the police. Emakumeen Euskal Bira
The Emakumeen Euskal Bira was a women's cycling race held in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, Spain. It was held annually from 1988 to 2019, starting out as a two-stage race and building up to five stages in 2007. One of these stages was always a double stage. It was rated a UCI race classifications, 2.1 category race from 2005 to 2017 and a UCI Women's World Tour, 2.WWT event in 2018 and 2019. The name of the race changed during the years, from 1988 to 2007 it was called Emakumeen Bira and from 2008 to 2011 Iurreta-Emakumeen Bira. The race ended after its 2019 edition. The 2014 Friends Life Women's Tour was the inaugural edition of The Women's Tour, a stage race held in Great Britain, with a Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI rating of 2.1. Mara Katherine Abbott (born November 14, 1985) is an American former women's bicycle racer. In 2010, Abbott became the first US cyclist ever to win the Giro d'Italia Femminile, one of the Grand Tours of women's bicycle racing. Abbott retired after the 2016 Olympic Games road race.
