DArtagnan (band)
DArtagnan is a German folk rock band from Nuremberg. The band's name makes reference to 17th century French soldier Charles de Batz de Castelmore d'Artagnan, made famous by the author Alexandre Dumas in his ''d'Artagnan Romances'', notably in the novel ''The Three Musketeers''. History The band was founded in Nuremberg in 2015 by singer Benjamin Metzner, who also plays the mandolin, bagpipes and flute, guitarist and background singer Felix Fischer, and by guitarist and singer Tim Bernard. Metzner and Fischer, who have been friends since they were young, played together in the medieval rock band Feuerschwanz. This was followed by a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment and the production of an album by producer Thomas Heimann-Trosien, who had already produced albums for Schandmaul, Nightwish and In Extremo. Nightwish
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, ''Angels Fall First'' (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marko Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers. Santiano (band)
Santiano is a German band from the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, whose songs combine Rock music, rock, Irish folk, sea shanty, and schlager music. The name Santiano is taken from the Hugues Aufray Santiano (song), song of the same name. They topped the German album charts multiple times in the 2010s, also ranking high in Austrian and Swiss charts. History The idea for the band originated with German producer Hartmut Krech of Flensburg, who owns the Elephant Music label. On 3 February 2012, the band appeared at We Love Music, an event promoted by Universal Music and ProSiebenSat.1 Media. Blackmore's Night is a British-American neo-medieval folk rock band formed in 1997, consisting mainly of Ritchie Blackmore (acoustic guitar, hurdy gurdy, mandola, mandolin, nyckelharpa, and electric guitar) and Candice Night (lead vocals, lyricist, and woodwinds). Their lineup has seen many changes over the years; Blackmore and Night have been the only two constant members. They have released eleven studio albums. Candice Night (born May 8, 1971) is an American singer and musician. She has been the vocalist/lyricist and multi-instrumentalist for the traditional folk rock project Blackmore's Night since its origins in 1997 with her husband, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. She is also the backing vocalist for Rainbow from 1994 to 1997 and 2015–present, again with Blackmore. Her first solo album, '' Reflections'', was released in 2011. Career Born in Hauppauge, Long Island, New York, as Candice Lauren Isralow, she took piano lessons for a couple of years. She began modeling as "Candice Loren" at 12 years of age.
