Alphonzo Rawls, also known as Alf, is a goofy-footed American professional skateboarder and footwear designer. Early life Rawls grew up skating at the Del Mar Skate Ranch. As a child, Rawls makes appearance in the background of the film Animal Chin, attending Del Mar the day the film shot at the skatepark. Rawls skating progressed when McGill's skatepark opened up, featuring ramps of all sizes up to vert. Skateboarding career After being courted but never signed by both Powell Peralta, Powell-Peralta and Dogtown, Rawl's first sponsor was H-Street. Morgan Rawls
Morgan Rawls (June 29, 1829 – October 18, 1906) was an American politician and lawyer, as well as an officer in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. Biography Rawls was born near Statesboro, Georgia in 1829 and moved to Guyton, Georgia in 1856. During the American Civil War, he joined the Confederate States Army as an infantry captain and was eventually promoted to colonel in the 54th Regiment of the Georgia Infantry. After the war, Rawls was a delegate to the State constitutional convention in 1865. He also served multiple terms in the Georgia House of Representatives (from 1863–1865, 1868–1872, 1886–1889 and 1896–1904). In 1872, Rawls was elected as a Democrat to represent Georgia's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives during the 43rd Congress; however, he only served from March 4, 1873, until March 24, 1874. Woodrow Wilson Rawls (September 24, 1913 – December 16, 1984) was an American writer best known for his books '' Where the Red Fern Grows'' and '' Summer of the Monkeys''. Early years Woodrow Wilson Rawls was born in the Ozark Mountains near Scraper, Oklahoma in 1913, to parents Minzy Rawls and Winnie Hatfield Rawls. His family's farm was located on his mother's Cherokee government allotment. When Rawls was 16, the United States economy entered the Great Depression, prompting his family to leave their Oklahoma home for California; however, the family's convertible broke down near Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Rawls's father found a job at the nearby toothpaste factory. Will Rawls is an American contemporary choreographer, performance artist, curator and writer based in New York City and with continuing projects in Europe. He has choreographed solo works and group works, and has danced professionally with established dance companies.
