FORTA
The Federation of Regional Organizations of Radio and Television (, FORTA) is the association of the public broadcasting networks from 12 autonomous communities of Spain. It was created on 5 April 1989. Members Non-members *Extremadura's CEXMA has not joined the FORTA by self-decision. The corporations of the autonomous cities of Ceuta ( RTVCE) and Melilla ( RTVM) are not part of the FORTA either. *Four autonomous communities (Cantabria, Castile and León, La Rioja and Navarre) lack a public broadcasting network. There are region-wide private broadcasting networks in Cantabria (PopularTV Cantabria), Castile and León ( RTVCYL), La Rioja (TVR) and Navarre ( NATV). Former members Valencia's regional broadcaster Ràdio Televisió Valenciana (RTVV) became defunct in 2013. The Corporación Radio e Televisión de Galicia (CRTVG) is the public broadcaster for the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. Radio y Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA) is the public broadcasting, public radio and television broadcaster of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Andalusia. About RTVA Radio y Television de Andalucia (RTVA) is a provider of radio and TV in the south of Spain. The Catalan Media Corporation (; ) is the public radio and television company in Catalonia owned by Generalitat de Catalunya. The CCRTV is a public corporation created by the Generalitat de Catalunya by a Founding Act that passed the Parliament of Catalonia on 18 May 1983. It answers to the Parliamentary Control Commission and to the Catalan Audiovisual Council. It is funded through the Generalitat's General Budget as well as by income and yield from CCRTV's own activities. Its subsidiaries can partly finance themselves through advertising, sponsorship and the sale of merchandise and programming. Euskal Irrati Telebista (; ; acronym EITB, branded eitb) is the Basque Autonomous Community's public broadcast service, which broadcasts throughout the Basque Country. Its main brand is Euskal Telebista (ETB, Basque Television). EITB is the leading media group in the Basque Autonomous Community of Spain with five domestic television channels and six radio stations. Their channels are also broadcast in the whole Basque Country, and people in nearby territories such as Burgos (in Castile and León), Cantabria, Huesca and Saragossa (in Aragon), La Rioja, and the non-Basque-speaking region of Pyrénées-Atlantiques (in France) can also get the signal. À Punt () is a Valencian free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the Valencian Media Corporation. It is the corporation's flagship and currently only television channel, and broadcasts mainstream programming mainly in the Valencian language. It is part of FORTA. The channel began regular broadcasts on 25 April 2018, as a successor of the defunct Nou, Nou 24 and Nou Dos, and is broadcast through the same multiplex. Availability À Punt is available exclusively in the Valencian Community. Telemadrid is a public television station in the Community of Madrid, Spain, the flagship channel of the regional public broadcaster Radio Televisión Madrid (RTVM). It began its broadcast on 2 May 1989. History First years Telemadrid was created when Joaquín Leguina (PSOE) was the regional president. Radio Televisión Madrid S.A. (RTVM) is the public broadcaster of the Community of Madrid. History The Ente Público Radio Televisión Madrid was created by means of a 1984 law, during the government of Joaquín Leguina, with the endorsement of all parliamentary forces. The Onda Madrid radio station began its broadcast on 18 February 1985. Telemadrid began its broadcast on 2 May 1989. In 2015, the regional government of Cristina Cifuentes lined up a plan to transform the ente público into a S.A. (corporation), sociedad anónima. The ''sociedad anónima'' Radio Televisión Madrid was thus created in 2016 by means of a law passed by the Assembly of Madrid in December 2015, and the S.A. assumed full control over the regional broadcasting services on 17 March 2017, inheriting the assets of the Ente Público as well as Telemadrid and Onda Madrid, transferred by means of a merging by absorption. TV3 (Catalonia)
TV3 () is the primary television channel of Catalan public broadcaster Televisió de Catalunya, a subsidiary of the CCMA. TV3 broadcasts programmes only in Catalan and Aranese, with an optional dual track in the original language for some foreign-language series and movies, although Spanish is not dubbed or subtitled. TV3 is also a founding member of FORTA. It is funded by the regional autonomous government, the Generalitat de Catalunya, through the CCMA. Canal Sur ('South Channel') is part of Radio y Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA), the public broadcasting company of Andalusia. It was created by means of the devolved powers given to this autononomous community by an Act of Parliament in its statute of autonomy.
