Czarni Słupsk
Czarni Słupsk, more commonly known as Icon Sea Czarni Słupsk because of sponsorship reasons, is a Polish basketball team, based in Słupsk, playing in Polish Basketball League (PLK). The home arena of the club was Hala Gryfia. History In July 1945, the original Czarni Słupsk team was formed, by railway workers who moved from Kraków to Słupsk after World War II. The club was originated as an association football club, but in 1989 the basketball section was founded. In the 1998–99 season, the team promoted to the Polish Basketball League (PLK). In the 2005–06 season, the first club honour was one: the bronze medal. In the 2010s Czarni Słupsk was a steady competitor in the PLK, with several Playoff appearances. On 31 January 2018, Czarni Słupsk retired from the league and was dissolved due to financial collapse. Polish Basketball League
Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) (English language, English: Polish Basketball League), officially known as the Orlen Basket Liga due to its sponsorship by Orlen, is a professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish basketball league system, Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. It began in 1947–48, with the name of I Liga, and was originally organized by the Polish Basketball Federation. The league changed to its current form, beginning with the 1997–98 season, after the Polska Liga Koszykówki SA, PLK SA (the Polish Basketball League Joint-stock company) took control over the league (the PLK SA was created in 1995). The 2024–25 Polish Basketball League (PLK) season, the Orlen Basket Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the 91st season of the Polish Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in Poland. It is managed by the Polish Basketball League (PLK) and will be held in Sosnowiec, in the Arena Sosnowiec. 2022–23 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2022–23 FIBA Europe Cup was the 8th season of the FIBA Europe Cup, the second-level European professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season began on 12 October 2022 and ended on 26 April 2023. Anwil Włocławek defeated Cholet in the finals, which were played over two legs in both club's arenas. They became the first Polish club to win a European competition title. 2015 Polish Basketball Cup
The 2015 Polish Basketball Cup () was the 52nd edition of Poland's national cup competition for men basketball teams. It was managed by the Polish Basketball League (PLK) and was held in Gdynia, in the Gdynia Sports Arena, in February 2015. Qualification Teams who played in European competitions qualified directly, along with hosts Asseco Gdynia.
